Vacuum circuit breakers of ВРC series for indoor installation are new generation apparatus, which are optimally suited for solving switching and protection problems in the medium voltage circuits. BPC circuit breakers are used to commutate loads and are operated at rated currents up to 3 150 A and breaking currents up to 40 kA. The apparatus is cassette-type circuit breaker and designed for installation on the draw-out element in the middle part of the complete switchgear.
Subject to nominal parameters BPC series includes more than three dozens sub-types. The variation is in dimensions (interpole size up 200 to 310 mm); presence of poles support (for circuit breakers designed for 128 kA of peak currents); type and power of unified electromagnetic drive, etc.
Vacuum circuit breakers of ВРC-10 are designed for common use in industry. BPC-6 series is used in distribution devices of thermal and nuclear power plants. Unified design of BPC vacuum circuit breakers allow to install the apparatus both in complete switchgears by High-Voltage Union (KU6S and KU10S series) and complete switchgears by other manufacturers as well.
