There is a lot of switchgears in operation that were produced in previous decades. They are operable but have resource coming to an end or expired. High-Voltage Union proposes to extend resource of such switchgears by specially developed Retrofit program.

Retrofit program assumes substitution of the oil and electromagnetic circuit breakers with expired resource for modern, reliable vacuum circuit breakers. Reconstruction of the switchgears lays either in modernization of the old withdrawable element by mounting of the universal module with a new circuit breaker on it or in complete substitution of the old element for the new one.

Retrofit program requires minimum costs and is carried out in the shortest possible time since blockings and relay protection circuits existing in switchgears being modernized do not need upgrading, and overall, setting-out, and conjunctive dimensions of the new modules and withdrawable elements fully comply with those of the equipment being replaced.

A low-cost decision is Retrofit universal mounting set which is a set of buses and armature for vacuum circuit breaker adaptation into a switchgear.

Nowadays High-Voltage Union produces more than one hundred types of universal modules and withdrawable elements for the reconstruction of switchgears practically of all series manufactured in previous years.

Experience of switchgears operating reconstructed thanks to Retrofit program showed the efficiency of such approach, and vacuum circuit breakers produced by High-Voltage Union proved to be the best for these purposes.
