Nowadays High-Voltage Union is one of leading manufacturers in CIS of modular transformer substations of 35/10 (6) kV with enclosed-type switchgears. The project was completed by the specialists of the plant in the first quarter of 2003. The plant started production of ZKTPR-35/10(6) kV modular substations with transformers capacity from 1 000 up to 16 000 kVA.

An embodiment of modular enclosed-type substation concept followed the designing of principally new devices of 35 kV: BR35 vacuum circuit breakers and KU-35 series switchgear.

ZKTPR-35/10(6) substation consists of the following main units and elements:

• one or two power transformers with a capacity from 1 000 kVA to 16 000 kVA;

• enclosed-type switchgear of 35 kV – KRPZ-35, that combine some separate sections. All the sections are easy to be transported and equipped with KU35 indoor switchgears, installed BP35 vacuum circuit breakers inside the switchgears as well as necessary relay protection, control and automatic equipment circuits and devices. All the installations before transportation are being made on the plant under controlled quality conditions;

• enclosed-type switchgear of 10 kV – KRPZ-10, that combine some separate sections. All the sections of 10 kV as well as 35 kV sections are easily transportable and fully equipped before transportation and mounting. The sections include KU-10C or KU10(6)S indoor switchgears, installed BP or BPC series vacuum circuit breakers inside the switchgears and other main and auxiliary devices;

• auxiliary transformer cabinets;

• lightning guard, grounding, lighting devices as well as barrier and all the devices, instruments and accessories in accordance with the substation project

Designing and start manufacturing of ZKTPR-35/10(6) substations reflects the modern trends of transformer substation design, namely modular enclosed-type design.
